Love is Love Cooperative Farm is the vision and work of five farmers: Demetrius Milling, Monica Ponce, Russell Honderd, Judith Winfrey and Joe Reynolds.  We are a unique collective of first generation farmers: multigenerational, multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-class who believe that we are stronger working together to grow certified organic food, plants and flowers at scale for wholesale markets and direct to consumers.  Our ownership structure is democratic and non-hierarchical.  We build on the foundation of an existing certified organic farm business and are catalyzed and inspired by the work of many who have led the way before us.   African American farmers have organized cooperatively since the civil war.  Many Indigenous American cultures were organized cooperatively.  Exploited laborers and agrarians have been organizing cooperatively since the industrial revolution.  Essentially, cooperative organization and ownership is a useful tool for any group that is excluded from hegemonic capital systems.  

We are endeavoring to stand up a resilient, equitable, worker-owned cooperative farm providing produce, plants and flowers for our community with transparency and integrity while building a structure and system that will outlast us all and serve our local food system for generations to come.
